How to clean your ethanol burner

Cleaning your burner after you have used 50 litres (13.2 gallons) of fuel or when you notice black deposits on or near the burner opening.

When empty and cold, remove the burner from its setting, wash in hot soapy water and rinse thoroughly.

You can also wash the burner in the dishwasher. Place the burner face down with lid open / lid removed.

Let it dry before replacing in unit.

Before cleaning the burner, make sure it is completely cool and empty.

Use a vacuum cleaner for general cleaning on visible surface.

Brush any remaining black material gently from the surface towards the inside of the burner.

Use a vacuum cleaner to remove residue inside the burner.

Apply a stainless steel cleaner or metal polish to a clean cloth and wipe the burner down in the direction of the grain in the steel.

It is recommended to test a small area first to ensure the cleaning product chosen is appropriate and will not mark or damage the surface.

Remove remaining stainless steel cleaner with warm soapy water and dry with a clean cloth.

To finish cleaning, wipe over the surface with a stainless steel wipe.

Note: Stainless steel will rust or corrode over time if contamination or debris is not cleaned or removed immediately. When not in use, we recommend that you protect your fireplace from water damage or corrosion with a protective cover and the regular use of the burner lid included with your model.
